ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH
SERVING WEST TEXAS COMMUNITIES
OUR MISSION
As the designated Roman Catholic parish in Marfa, Texas, part of the Diocese of El Paso. St. Mary’s serves the southwest region of Texas and beyond. Our community is committed to upholding the rich traditions and heritage of the Roman Catholic Church, guided by the leadership of our supreme pastor, the Roman Pontiff, and the Diocesan Bishop elect.
The St. Mary’s community is committed to being rooted in the Holy Eucharist and dedicated to prayer, fostering a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ for all its members. We invite everyone to join our family of faith as we cultivate discipleship in Christ, develop our talents for the glory of God, and serve one another for the betterment of our community.
Our purpose is to convey the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ through the celebration of the Liturgy and the Holy Eucharist, as well as through the Sacraments, Eucharistic Adoration, and prayer. We are committed to serving others by engaging in both spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
We consecrate our parish to the Blessed Virgin Mary, our guiding model and Patroness throughout our spiritual journey.

“Thou alone and thy Mother are in all things fair, there is no flaw in thee and no stain in thy Mother.”
Ephraem, Nisibene Hymns, 27:8 (A.D. 370)
GIVING
The support and generosity of our St. Mary members play a crucial role in the success of our mission. The contributions from the Sunday offertory help cover our annual operating expenses, which include programs, ministries, and building upkeep. Together, the St. Mary community takes ownership of its mission and ensures it thrives.
We understand that while gifts may vary among individuals, the willingness to make sacrifices collectively strengthens our faith community and enhances the important work we do. We are deeply appreciative of your commitment and sincerely thank you for your generosity, involvement, and uplifting spirit.
